Lori Neslund-Director

I was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. I moved to the Bloomington area to attend Illinois State University. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1988 from ISU with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I began working in daycare immediately after graduation. My first position was teaching 3 year olds. I became a daycare director in 1991 and have been the director of Clubhouse since it opened in 1997. I am also the mother of 3 of my own children. I absolutely love being the director of Clubhouse. I really enjoy working with the children, the staff as well as the parents. We are a very close “family” and I am truly proud to be a part of it. My spare time is spent enjoying my children, selling Longaberger and stamping cards.

Erika-Head Nursery Teacher

I am originally from the Northern Illinois area. I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. I am married and have three boys who all attended Clubhouse until they started school. They still come occasionally on ‘no school’ days. I have worked at Clubhouse since it opened in 1997. I feel the friendliness of the staff and the closeness between the families and the staff is what makes Clubhouse stand out from the other centers in the area. In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks and playing video games with my boys.

I live in Bloomington with my husband and son. I first became a member of the Clubhouse family in 2003, and then left for a short time to get married and returned in 2005. I enjoy the relationships that I have created with both the parents and fellow employees at Clubhouse. I have worked at other centers in the past but they do not come close to what Clubhouse has to offer both staff and families. I really enjoy involving myself in the family activities that go on throughout the year. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy baking and reading whenever I get a chance.

Vickie-Kitchen Specialist

I was born and raised in Heyworth, Illinois. I worked in daycare for 5 years before I began working at Clubhouse as the cook when it opened in 1997. I left Clubhouse in 2003 to get married and start a family, but I missed the close relationships I had with the staff and families I had at Clubhouse so I returned in 2006. I started out helping part-time as needed, but I am now back in the kitchen full-time and loving it!! My son Kacey attends Clubhouse everyday as well. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and stamping cards.
