Our Philosophy

We believe every child is a unique individual. Our staff’s responsibility is to help the child develop his/her social, emotional, physical, and educational skills to their fullest. These skills will be developed through interaction with loving, knowledgeable staff who are sensitive to each child’s personal needs. The curriculum is designed to help each child develop the confidence and independence needed to function in today’s world.

Our Curriculum

The daily planning within each classroom is designed to present a variety of opportunities that will spark interest in each individual child, while keeping a balance between active and quiet activities, as well as providing both indoor and outdoor investigation. Knowing that play is the foundation of a child’s early education, significant time is devoted to free exploration. Learning is enhanced by teacher-lead one-on-one, small group, and whole group instruction.

School-Age Before and After School (Kdg - 12 yrs)

The before and after school program reinforces skills learned at school, as well as provides a safe and comfortable environment for children to socialize and explore through art, music, literature, games and more! Open-ended projects allow kids to express their thoughts and feelings in ways that highlight their own individual talents and interests. Time is provided each day after school for reading, homework and quiet play. School holidays offer opportunities to delve into a wide range of subject areas such as Oceanography, Engineering, and Fine Art. Days off include a variety of field trips, games, discussions and projects.

School-Age Summer (Kdg - 12 yrs)

The summer program invites children to choose from particular areas of interest, such as Cool Chemistry, Creative Drama, First Aid and Gross-Out Science for hands-on investigation. Topics are enhanced by field trips, long term projects, and visits from members of our community. The summer also includes swimming, trips to local parks, and student-lead discussions. The summer concludes with an all-day cookout and field day.
